Velomobiel.nl has started a new blog ! I thank Wim G. who gave the first hint on the Dutch recumbent Google-group.
I’m glad they decided to use wordpress.com . But maybe it’s a bit confusing that the word “velomobiel” is written in Dutch. I think most English-speaking cyclists will type the address with “velomobile”.
I’m sure there is going to be a lot of interesting information about the why’s and how’s for us velonauts

A rare moment ………… because we seldom ride together ! When we are both on our recumbents, I am always miles ahead. But last weekend we found out that when I’m on the Bullitt and Marjan on het Challenge Focus, we keep together all the way
I used the “trimtool” and found another speedy recumbent in the photos.
While the Lady of the House was busy restoring lamp shades………….
I was busy with my bikes, because I recieved the aliminium box and honey board for the Bullitt. And I also decided to install the new Jag Wire cables for the drumbrakes in my Quest.
I ordered the cables together with 15 spokes by email on Sunday at Velomobiel.nl and on Tuesday they arrived at my house ! Wonderful service ….
One of the brake levers wasn’t working properly. It was due to some rust. I cleaned it a bit and used some Copaslip before I assembled the wheels again.
I guess red is becoming my favorite colour

I went to Sloten, near Amsterdam. Cycle Vision was organised at the Velodrome in Sloten.
It was an excellent day to stay at the beach, not for racing in a velodrome. Because there were no races in the open air after noon, I decided to go home much earlier than I intended.

Chase , a 17 year old boy from Chicago is starting to build recumbents. I like the way he documents everything with a video camera ! From day one ……….
I edited a 10 minute video of the “Easter-meeting”. The first 5 minutes is an impression of the route I took to get there, because it is an important aspect of the phenomenon “paastreffen” for me.

Hello, good people who read this blog !
Last weekend I went to the Easter-meeting for recumbents at Camping Harskamperdennen. It was a 230 km. ride on Friday with lots of clouds, but no rain. On Sunday I had several rain-showers on the same route back home.
For people with GPS who are curious what route I took between Vlissingen and Harskamp; I have uploaded a .gpx file of the track in The Box (in the lowest widget on the right side of this blog).
