In connection with the upcoming celebration of our freedom on May 5, I once browsed through old magazines from my grandfather.
In the years before the war there were clearly warnings of the danger that Europe was close to an abyss ….
A few days before the war people were hopeful to have “a sunny vacation”.
This is the first edition of “Ons Vrije Nederland” after the liberation ,
But did we, as the descendants learn anything?
Is there less profit and greed ….. , now that we live in peace?
Are we close to the next abyss ?
