My daughter has a nice hobby …. belly dancing. It combines nicely with my hobby … photography.
“Ana’s oriental night out 2016” gave us a chance to practice our hobby together.
The happening was at Gasterij de Harmonie in Eindhoven. As soon as I entered this room I realised that the light was disastrous. I couldn’t make photos of belly dancers here.
So I had to make the best of it and decided to make photos that would show the situation in which belly dancers usually have to perform. Bad static spot-light, a disastrous background and people all around.
As usual there were lots of amateur photographers.
But I did it my way …
without flashlight
because I don’t have any …
and I didn’t need any …
But there is one thing I forgot …
Stupid of me …
I forgot to take off the UV-filter from the lens …
You can see the effect …
especially on backlit photos …
where you can see some haze around the light source …
and the high ISO made it even worse …
And yes ….. there are male belly dancers ! Rachid Raqs.
