The four young blackbirds had flown from the nest and were scattered in our backyard ….
of course I took a few pictures ….
beautiful young life !
But …. a few hours later one of the young blackbirds was brutally caught and dragged along by a western jackdaw
Nature is like a balance ….
with one blackbird less, the crawling insects have a better chance of survival !
but it is hard to be an eyewitness of the evolution (in your own backyard) with a humanistic world view…….
