here comes the sun

I worked in the nightshift and was commuting home in the early morning on my recumbent. The sunrise was beautifull and made clear that wintertime was ending. Days are getting longer from now on. During that hour it takes me to get home, the sky turns from dark to bright.

I had my camera with me, so I made some short videos and added the music I was humming.

The video that I uploaded to youtube isn’t working so I used Livevideo, altough I don’t like the way it presents itself on my blog (I hate advertisements).

  2. What a great commute. Makes me keen to get working again. I love the feeling of cycling to and from work. Arrive at work fresh, leave work looking forward to the end of day unwind, arrive at home refreshed and ready to properly relax.

    And oh hail the cycling paradise that is The Netherlands. How can I get a job where you work? 😉

  3. Cool video. I don’t like the cycling paths, though. You had to cross the main rode at least once (haven’t seen it till the end, cause I’ll go for a nightride now myself (2.15am :-)) – that’s dangerous! Statistics sugests that you often ride much safer on the road than on (bad) cycling paths. In many cases when I’ve chosen the cycling path I regretted it in the aftermath. The bad thing is that you can’t know that before – at least not in an unknown territory.
    Near my home I know nearly all cycling paths and it depends on the time of the day and the traffic situation which option I choose.

    Like
