There is a nice blog made by this Velomobile enthousiast written in french. I can only read it using the google translation………

He is inspired by “peak oil” and is selling his second car because the velomobile is doing well in the French traffic ! His experience is interesting for me, because he uses his velomobile in a much more hilly landscape then I do. Here in the Netherlands we are tend to name every mole-hill a mountain 😉

    Nice to see that you are talking about my blog ! 😉

    No, I do not use my velomobile in a very hilly landscape ! I have some gentle hills or high bridges to climb, but nothing quite important, my ride is mainly flat. You can find the profile here :

    I am living in the countryside, and the velomobile was an answer for me for both riding rather quickly on dangerous roads and avoiding traffic jam in town.

    I was a 100% motorist before I start riding my velomobile, I had never ride a bike other than occasionnaly. It was 1 year ago, and now I only use my velomobile for my everyday commute and am selling my car. That’s the experience I am describing on my blog.

    Well, in fact, the story has turned over a new leaf this week-end, stay tuned…
