I felt comfortable to take them apart . It’s a quite simpel technique and easy to understand “howtodo” . Just be aware that oil doesn’t belong inside the drum. Just a drop of oil between the moving parts will do. Be aware that water doesn’t belong inside the cable (freezing in wintertime) so try to design it in a way that rain isn’t able to enter the cables …
I know you’ll fix it if you’re wearing your boilersuit 😉
PS; put some info on the internet afterwards …. because I agree ; there should be more available.

Wim,
I saw some pictures of heroic brake-cleaning in your flickr-feed. Did you feel comfortable taking them apart? I’m having som drum brake-related issues myself.
Normally I don’t ask for advice, I just crack stuff up and see what happens. Maybe I’m getting old.
And cool picture, by the way. Both beautiful and dystopic, Sort of like how I view reality.
