When she came back to find her wheels gone, I gasped. That took me by surprise.
Then with the extra locks to find her bike gone, I was not expecting that either……
My first bike as a small child was a rusted 2 wheeled bike that someone had thrown away in the creek. I fixed it up bit by bit. I still remember coming home one day to find that someone had stolen it from my back yard.
Many years ago I was taking the bus to Boston Massachusetts three times a week. One day there was a bike locked to a post on a Boston street that I would walk by twice a day. The 2nd passing on that first day, the front wheel was gone. Over a period of weeks, bit by bit that poor bike was stripped until it was frame and a crank set. I wonder if it’s still there?
