On the former island Neeltje Jans many birds are breeding this time of year ….
Father and mother Goose have 4 children and lead them to the open water …
They are probably just a few hours old and stay close to their mother ….
But there is a hungry seagull …
and the seagull drags one of the young geese out of the water …
the geese could’t do anything to prevent it …
the seagull takes it to a place nearby …
and kills the young by breaking the neck …
the geese are going further with the other three that are left …
They have no means to defend themselves … in the middle of hundreds hungry seagulls …
The rest of the walk I had to think of all those children who are in warzones like Syria ….
