So I call these B & W photos a “project”. About 35 years ago, photographing with B & W film was the most natural thing in the world for amateurs. I always bought Tri-X in lengths of 30 meters at the time.
While I am happy with the current digitization, I often read young photographers in training are more interested in going back into the dark room for days.
