Bo has become a permanent member of our family. After Hitch’s euthanasia, I was completely out of my mind. The house was no longer my home and the garden was empty and dead without the unconscious presence of a dog.

That’s why I started fantasizing about an older shepherd dog who would undoubtedly feel at home with us after a while.
Of course, I first searched the Internet for animal shelters and saw that many dogs were dumped there after being used as “guard dogs” for a while. Having such dogs in the house is not wise when my grandchildren are also playing there. But the other reason for looking for an older dog was that I didn’t want my dog to outlive me…
I called an animal shelter to learn about the current rules, regulations and financial consequences. A day later, my wife and I were already on a “trial” walk in Tholen with 2 different shelter dogs. We immediately choose for Bo…

It was Bo! One and a half years old, pitch black with a small white spot on his chest and a perfect and sweet character. Very watchful, careful and affectionate.

Beautiful. So glad you could find a new puppa. Or perhaps so glad that a new puppa found you! 🥰
