Koga Miyata made only 50 bicycles of the model they named “the Spyker” (Koga Aeroblade). Handmade and because of all the rarity very expensive (12.500 euro). The sultan of Brunei has one and also the King of Jordan. How does it look ? You can find a video (spoken in Dutch) here .

HPV races in Velodrome in Alkmaar (Netherlands)

The 1000 meters sprint and 40 minutes criterium in the Velodrome in Alkmaar (the Netherlands) where Hans Wessels showed he was in better shape than Ymte Sijbrandij ! You can find the results here .

commuting with a colleague

It was warm and dry yesterday. So a lot of bicyclists were out on the cycle-paths. A colleague of me also went to our work on his bicycle. I planned to practise with my photocamera and wanted to know how the video- mode would work while cycling on my bent. So here is the result 😉

I think that this movie gives a good expression of the feeling I get on my recumbent. Unfortunately I do not own a videocamera to make my own movies, but if I had one it would look the same.

homologation

I just got these homologations (200 and 300 km’s) by “slow-mail” yesterday. The guys from AUDAX expect you to do the brevet on your bicycle in the shortest possible time, but then it takes them almost 2 years to send the homologation ! only 2000 km.

Shit ! Had this one on my recumbent for only 2000 km. Fortunately I’ve seen this at home, on the last day of 2006 and not during a ride to my work. Already have the spare one on the bike. Before using the new tyre, I unsharpened the edges with a sandpaper. Hope it will help.
