Quest 215

Quest number 215 is being build this week. About 6000 euro’s have left our bank-account today 😦 , so next week I’ll be able to make the maiden-voyage from Dronten to Vlissingen 😉 . This first ride will be about 300 / 350 km. Daylight lasts till 18.30, so the LED-lightning system will have to be used for a long time. I wonder if the batterypack will last till I arrive in Vlissingen. It is also the first trip I’ll do in a Velomobile. So all the ingredients are there to encounter a failure!

  2. Ik weet dat het een traditie is geworden dat Questen gewoon fietsend naar hun eerste “thuis” gaan en dat wil ik graag voortzetten. De Quest is ontworpen voor dit soort lange ritten, dus dat mag geen probleem zijn. Als er iets fout gaat zal het waarschijnlijk aan mijzelf liggen. Ik zal natuurlijk voorzichtig zijn, maar omdat veel ongelukken vaak op de maidentrip plaats vinden is het voor mij extra avontuurlijk !!!

    I am aware it has become a tradition that Quests go to their first “home” cycling and I want to continue that tradition. The Quest is designed for this kind of long-distance rides, so that won’t be a problem. I something goes wrong it probably will be my own stupid failure. Of course I will be careful, but because most accidents happen during the maiden-trip, it will be extra adventurous for me !!!

  3. Why don’t you put your Quest into my trailer. So I can bring you and your bike home safe. You know nothing drives more safe than a Mercedes….

    My Quest has three wheels and is designed to ride on those wheels, powered by the divine body of its owner ! 😉
    When you hang a Mercedes underneath my Quest, or worse, hide my Quest inside a trailer behind a Mercedes , she will feel ashamed ! 😉
