Sparta Radar

An old Sparta bicycle (model Radar) was unused for a few years in the shed. I refurbished it a bit. I also made a box with wood from the wood storage and some old materials that were in the box called “do not yet throw away”.

The wood had been stored in our wood storage for about 15 years. At the time I took it from someone who had also kept it in his wood storage for years. Short strips of tropical hardwood which I too would regret if it was burned in the woodstove. Originally they were intended for surveyors to plot lots. After many years they are now treated with simple “crude linseed oil” and used for the “cargo bike”.

A simple plate of aluminum, a piece of stainless steel wire, slats of old blinds, wood glue and old-fashioned lashing rope … In any case, unique and striking … I do not have to search for this bike for a long time when it is parked in the bicycle shed.
