Requiem “The Flood”

January 27, Marjan sang the requiem “The Flood” written by Douwe Eisinga in the Zeeuws Concertkoor in the Vlissingen St. Jacobskerk.

As an amateur I took some pictures, doing my best to be as inconspicuous as possible, not to get in anyone’s way, not to make a sound and not to disturb the requiem…

So with the 100-400mm zoom lens and a monopod tripod I was able to photograph the large choir from the back of the church, even in ever changing low available-light.

mezzo-soprano was Helena van Heel

All entrance tickets were sold out

some photos

The few seconds just before the requiem are the only seconds the conductor (Pim Overduin) shows his face…

And even though it seems like we’re doing our very best for it… let’s hope there’s never another flood
